Research Cores Program

The Research Cores Program is an initiative from the Office of the Vice President for Research and Graduate School to enhance access to and support of research services at New Mexico State University.

CAIL (Chemical Analysis and Instrumentation Laboratory)

Over the past decade, Dr. Schaub has developed the CAIL laboratory to enable collaborative research at NMSU. The laboratory is fully staffed and maintains high-end analytical instrumentation involving research collaborations within NMSU, the State of New Mexico and other educational or industrial partners. We provide a locus of scientific excellence for the NMSU research community and the State of New Mexico.

MICS (Microscopic Imaging Core Suite)

The multi-user Microscopy Suite (MICS), located in Skeen Hall, is part of the Research Cores Program. MICS includes modern, digital imaging electron and scanning probe microscopes, a laser scanning confocal microscope and ancillary preparative equipment along with expert guidance and assistance with wide-ranging, multidisciplinary applications.
